Red River Ski Area is kicking off the weekend with a fresh blanket of winter magic! After 10" of new snow over the past 72 hours, the mountain boasts a solid base depth of 20 inches and a season total of 30 inches so far. The Platinum lift is running, along with Gold, Little Blue, and Rug Rat, giving skiers and riders access to 11 open trails, 7 of which are freshly groomed for smooth carving.
Snowmaking crews in Red River have been hard at work, using high‑efficiency snow guns and the crisp mountain temperatures to blanket the slopes with fresh coverage.
Overnight, the town has been transformed into a winter wonderland, with the first snow of the season draping the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in a soft, shimmering blanket.
